Morgan appeared alongside other actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women focused on AIDS prevention as well as education. The proceeds was donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan also led other fundraising initiatives and gave a testimony at a special Congressional panel about AIDS awareness. Morgan is part of the Board of Governors of APLA as well as the Board of Directors of Amfar. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has requested her to fill in for him in AIDS events and she has presented an AIDS Awareness Special together with anchorman Steve Bell. Morgan has been on Nightline alongside Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan has received the Emmy nomination for her extra episode in Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. In the spring she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams as well appeared. Then she starred in the production of Harmony Gold, Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also starred as the main character in a thriller about psychological issues that was produced exclusively through the USA Network. It received one of the highest ratings that the network has ever had.
